# Privacy on **brito.ai**.

Effective 12 October 2026. This site belongs to me, Junior Brito, a consultant in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. I decide what is collected here and why, so I am responsible for it. Questions or requests go to [junior@brito.ai](mailto:junior@brito.ai), which is also my privacy contact under Brazil's LGPD.

## What I collect, and why

I use two analytics tools to see which pages people find useful and where they get stuck. I use what they show me to improve this site. I do not sell it, and I do not use it for advertising.

- **Google Analytics** (Google LLC) counts visits: pages viewed, how you arrived, rough location (city level, from your IP address), device and browser. Google keeps this for at most 14 months. Google also uses some of it for its own purposes, described in [how Google uses information from sites that use its services](https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).

- **Microsoft Clarity** (Microsoft Corporation) captures how you use and interact with this site through behavioural metrics, heat maps and session replays: clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and the page as you saw it. Microsoft collects this usage data through first and third party cookies and similar technologies, and uses it as described in the [Microsoft Privacy Statement](https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement). The contact form is masked in replays, and Clarity masks text typed into form fields. Replays are deleted after 30 days unless I mark one to keep; heat maps and summaries are kept for up to 13 months.

The cookies these tools set in your browser are `_ga`, `_ga_\*`, `_clck` and `_clsk`, and Microsoft and Google may set their own on their domains. The site remembers your cookie choice in your browser (`brito.consent`). Pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when a page opens. Google's own handling is in the [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).

## Your choice

Analytics starts when a page loads. The [Cookie settings](#) link at the bottom of every page lets you turn it off at any time. Click Decline and both tools stop, their cookies are deleted, and the choice is remembered in this browser until you clear its site data.

## Why I am allowed to use it

Analytics: my legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used, which you can switch off at any time through Cookie settings. In Canada, this is consent you can withdraw the same way.

Contact form and bookings: you asked me to reply or to meet, so I use your details to do that.

## The contact form

When you send a message, your name, email address and message are emailed to me through Resend, an email delivery service. They are stored in my Google Workspace mailbox. I keep our emails for up to two years after we last talk, or longer if we work together and I need them for that work or for tax records. I never add you to a mailing list.

## Booking a call

The booking page loads Calendly, which may set its own cookies when the page opens, separate from my cookie banner. What you enter there goes to Calendly and to me, under [Calendly's privacy notice](https://calendly.com/privacy). If you would rather not use Calendly, email me and we will find a time.

## Where your data goes

This site is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles your IP address to deliver pages. Google, Microsoft, Resend, Calendly and Cloudflare process data in the United States and other countries. I am in Canada, which the EU and UK recognise as giving adequate protection. For transfers to the United States, I rely on the safeguards these companies offer: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension where they are certified, and standard contractual clauses in their data processing terms. Ask me and I will tell you which applies to which company.

## Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, delete it or send you a copy, and you can object to how I use it or withdraw your consent at any time. Email [junior@brito.ai](mailto:junior@brito.ai) and I will answer within 15 days. Analytics data is not tied to your name, so I may not be able to find a single visit, but I will tell you plainly if that is the case.

These rights come from Canada's PIPEDA, the EU and UK GDPR and Brazil's LGPD, and I extend them to everyone, including visitors from US states with their own privacy laws. If you are not satisfied with my answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the UK Information Commissioner's Office, Brazil's ANPD (Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados), or the data protection authority in your EU country.

## Children

This site is not meant for children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their information.

## Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If I add a new tool, I will list it here.
