A few things I've built and made better.

Each one starts with what was broken, what needed improving or what could run better, then what I built. Some are for clients, others run my own house and life.

Espaço Leve Alma

A yoga studio buried in admin work

The problem

A yoga studio with an old website and a heavy admin load. Payments were collected by hand, after class, and tracked one by one. On top of that, the old site ran on a free plan that quietly told search engines to ignore it, so people searching for yoga in Itacaré never found it.

What I did

I rebuilt the site from scratch in English and Portuguese, with the live class schedule pulled straight from the booking system. Students now book and pay by card online, so nobody chases payments after class. I set up analytics behind a privacy consent banner, kicked off a brand book and wrote a business plan to support a first-time entrepreneur. The site is also built for AI agents, so assistants like ChatGPT or Claude can read it and answer questions about classes. The first online payment came in on October 5, and Google started showing the studio in search the next day.

AI opened up almost endless possibilities. Every project here is built with it, heavily.

Viva Couto

An artist whose website was a page of broken links

The problem

Viva Couto is a Brazilian visual artist, performer and filmmaker based in Lisbon. Her only presence online was a link-in-bio page, and about half of its links were dead.

What I did

I researched her body of work and built a 43-page site in Portuguese and English, with every photo credited. Its look grows out of the artist Viva already is in front of her audience: bold red and white, a stage more than a page, where the work steps forward and the frame stays quiet. The site is also built for AI agents, and it scores the top level on an agent-readiness scanner.

Centric Software

Sales enablement for a complex product portfolio

The problem

Centric Software makes the product platform used by fashion, retail, food and cosmetics brands worldwide. Its portfolio spans several product lines, some of them technical, and the Latin America team needed new sales reps to pitch all of it clearly and consistently from day one.

What I did

I interviewed their sales and pre-sales teams, studied each product line and wrote the sales training guide: how to position the portfolio, scripts for cold outreach, follow-ups and replies, and how to choose which accounts to approach. I also designed a research method to map companies across five Latin American countries for the team to target.

Systems I built to run my own life. Most are private, so there is nothing to click. They are live projects, always evolving, as I am.

LiveHome Assistant

The smart home

A house with too many apps

The problem

Lights, plugs, cameras, locks, the alarm system and the thermostat each had their own app, and devices kept dropping off the network. One evening our dog got a double dose of his medication, because two people had no shared record of who had already given it.

What I did

The whole house now runs on Home Assistant, on a Raspberry Pi. One dashboard, generated from code, looks the same on the phone, tablet, desktop and an e-ink wall panel: lights, alarm, locks, climate, every camera, the speakers and TVs, even the car. Presence, temperature and air quality sensors drive the automations and give advice, like when to open a window. Each medication dose is logged with a tap of the phone on a sticker, a voice command or a button. Miss one and the lights flash; give a second one and the house says so out loud.

But AI does what it is told. I decide which problem is real, what matters and how the work should be done.

The Omi pendant

LiveOmi pendant

Omi, my private assistant

A voice assistant that does not phone home

The problem

Omi is a small wearable microphone. Out of the box, everything you say to it goes through the company's app and cloud. I wanted an assistant that runs on my own machines.

What I did

I say a word and it starts listening. The pendant connects over Bluetooth to whichever of my devices I am closest to, Mac, iPhone or iPad, and the speech is turned into text right there. Behind it sits a private assistant on my own server, with access to my personal knowledge base: my notes, my projects, the people and the history of my life. That makes it far more intimate than Alexa or Siri, which barely know who they are talking to. It answers questions, but it also acts: it runs things in the house, saves notes and reminders, and manages my coding projects.

LiveOne screen for everything

Command Hub

Too many dashboards, none of them current

The problem

Over time I had built separate dashboards for the house, money, work and the pets, plus a status board that went stale because nothing kept it up to date.

What I did

One screen is now my command center, the place I start every day. It shows what deserves my attention, where I need to be and when, and what is coming next, with a room each for the house, the pets, money, work and even the pond. Each room reads live from the system behind it instead of a copy. It runs on a local server, opens only on the home network or a private VPN, and checks its own health, so I hear about it when something stops answering.

LiveTwo households, two countries

Household finance

A budget spread across a spreadsheet and a pile of statements

The problem

I planned in a spreadsheet, but the real numbers lived in bank, credit card and store financing statements across two countries. I could not see a tight month coming, and bills that were already paid sometimes got counted twice.

What I did

A private money dashboard that runs only on my own computer and never goes online. It shows the cash flow day by day and forecasts the balance months ahead. It keeps every subscription in one list and flags one I cancelled that is still charging, and it tracks investments in the same picture. I drop in a statement and it imports it once, matches each transaction so nothing counts twice, and anchors the balance to the bank's own closing figure.

In the right hands AI is a powerful tool. Human judgment, care and experience are still what turn it into something that works.

Pets and insurance claims

Four pets, four policies, a lot of paperwork

The problem

Two dogs and two cats, each insured, with policies that renew at different times. Every vet and pharmacy bill meant a claim filed by hand.

What I did

Claims now run on their own, from the invoice to the money back. When a vet invoice lands in my email, the system files the claim on the insurer's website. When the decision letter comes back, it reads it into a ledger, and when the reimbursement is deposited, it matches it to the claim. The house dashboard shows anything still waiting on the insurer.

AI can build almost anything. Knowing what is worth building is still the human part.

Small apps I made, mostly to fix something in my own day. They are free to try.

Dock+

Mac · 2026

A floating second Dock of live widgets that sits just above the Mac's Dock: weather, music, the next meeting, mail, browser tabs, passwords. I built it in about an hour with Claude Code, to fit the way I work. Free and open source.

Holler

App Store · 2026

Broadcast your voice to the speakers in your house, Sonos and Nest alike, with a push to talk or a saved message.

whatnow

App Store · 2026

One day I simply wanted to see what it takes to publish an app on the Apple App Store, so I built whatnow: it helps couples, friends and families decide what to do. It's a little silly, but I learned a lot.
