Dock+

What Dock+ does

The macOS Dock launches apps. Dock+ adds a second strip of live tiles right above it: the things you keep switching apps to check. It shows on every Desktop, never steals focus, and lifts out of the way when an auto-hidden Dock appears. Like the real Dock, it keeps other windows from sliding underneath it, and one click shrinks it to a small handle when you want the screen back.

Why I built it

I kept switching apps all day just to glance at something: the next meeting, what was playing, the inbox, the weather, a password. The Mac's Dock opens apps, but it shows nothing live. So I built the Dock I wanted. The first working version took about an hour with Claude Code, made to fit the way I work, and I have kept polishing it since. It is free for anyone who wants the same thing.

Sixteen widgets, one glance

Each tile does one useful thing well, and most let you act, not just look.
