License

Dock+ is free and open-source software published by Junior Brito (brito.ai). The Dock+ software is licensed to you under the MIT License; the full license text is included with the source code and with the distribution. Under it you may use, copy, modify, and redistribute the software. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the MIT License as it applies to the software itself, the MIT License governs the software.

Dock+ is distributed as a direct download from its public GitHub repository and is not distributed through, affiliated with, or endorsed by Apple or the Mac App Store. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligations regarding Dock+.

Open source

Dock+ is open-source software. The source code is publicly available at github.com/juniorbrito0/dock-plus under the MIT License, and contributions are welcome there under the same license. You are free to inspect exactly what the app does before and while you run it.

Acceptable use

Use Dock+ lawfully and only with accounts and data you're authorized to access. Don't attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

Your accounts and data

Dock+ connects to services and apps you authorize on your Mac (such as Apple Calendar, Apple Mail, Apple Music or Spotify, and the 1Password command-line tool). You're responsible for those accounts and for complying with their providers' terms. How Dock+ handles your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

We may update, change, or discontinue features. We aim to keep the app working well but don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Disclaimer of warranties

Dock+ is provided free of charge and, as stated in the MIT License, "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the app will meet your requirements or be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. You use Dock+ entirely at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from or relating to your use of the app. Because Dock+ is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the software or these Terms will not exceed CAD $0.

You are solely responsible for any data loss, disclosure of credentials, or damage to your system or accounts arising from your use of Dock+, including its interactions with Apple Calendar, Apple Reminders, Apple Mail, Apple Music or Spotify, the Dia browser, and the 1Password command-line tool. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence still apply.
